Abstract:
Industrial robots are promising cost-effective and flexible alternative for certain multi-axis milling applications. The paper describes machining robot for complex parts of light materials with lower tolerances having freeform surfaces. For the experimental configuration of a 5-axis machining robot modelling approach and prototype of developed control system with programming in G-code are shown. The experimental prototype of low cost control and programming system has been verified by successful machining of several test work pieces of light materials.
