Abstract:
Background: Pupillometry as an objective and noninvasive examination of pupil size variability and it´s dynamic response on different illumination which can be used to assess the activity of the autonomous nervous system. Two years ago, the American Medical Association has released a code for pupillometry (0341T—Quantitative pupillometry with interpretation and report, unilateral or bilateral) as a reflection of raisingusing of pupillometry in a clinical practice.
Aim: to represent our clinical experience with quantitative pupillometry and pupillography
Material and method: we report our clinical experience with pupillometry and pupillography incoroprated in Essilor®WAM 700- analyzer produced by
Conclusion: Pupillometry is being used more widely for assessing laser refractive correction patients. Recent studies demonstrate the relationship between pupil responses and early signs of Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, autism, cardiovascular disease and other systemic rheumatologies.
